Developed an AI-powered email automation system using Zapier that automatically categorizes incoming customer emails, generates context-aware responses using ChatGPT, stores inquiry details in Notion databases, creates internal tasks, and notifies the appropriate teams.

How the Automation Works

The automation monitors incoming customer emails in Gmail and uses AI-powered classification to identify the type of inquiry, such as refunds, support concerns, account issues, or uncategorized requests. Based on the detected category, the workflow automatically routes the inquiry to the appropriate process.

The system retrieves relevant information from pre-configured knowledge sources, generates personalized customer responses using ChatGPT, sends automated email replies, stores inquiry records in Notion databases, and notifies internal teams when necessary. Additional workflow actions such as task creation, deadline assignment, and team notifications are also performed depending on the inquiry type.

This automation streamlines customer support operations by reducing manual handling, improving response consistency, and organizing customer inquiries across multiple systems.
